End intentional fluoridation of Kansas public water.
To the Governor of Kansas, Kansas legislators, state public health officials, and local governing bodies and public water suppliers:
We, the undersigned Kansas residents, ask you to end the intentional addition of fluoride compounds to public drinking water in Kansas.
We believe residents deserve a meaningful voice in decisions about substances added to their shared water supply. We support transparent decision-making and access to oral-health care that allows people to make individual choices.
We ask you to:
- End added fluoride. Take action within your authority to stop intentional fluoridation of public drinking water and pursue statewide policy to that effect.
- Make the records public. Publish information about fluoridation practices, additives, purchasing costs, and water-quality testing in a form residents can readily access.
- Listen to communities. Hold public hearings and issue a written response explaining the actions taken or proposed in response to this petition.
- Support informed choices. Expand access to oral-health education and dental care while respecting individual treatment decisions.
We ask for a public response and a clear timeline for action.
This petition concerns fluoride intentionally added to public drinking water. It does not call for a ban on toothpaste or address naturally occurring fluoride removal. It is a public advocacy petition, not an official ballot petition.
